SELF AUTHORING AFTER DIVORCE

SOULFUL TRANSITION

THE TRANSCRIPT

How often as coaches have you come across clients who are experiencing separation and divorce who say "I don't want to feel like this anymore" or ask “Whats wrong with me?” How long will this feeling last?”

The challenging answer is “it will last as long as you want!” The more compassionate answer is “as long as you need it to.”

How you experience transition is determined by a number of things:

1. If you intimated the change or it was forced upon you.

2. How tied you are to the roles and identities of society or the past.

3. Your tolerance for discomfort.

One thing is constant and that is every transition begins with an ending. Or multiple endings. Divorce entails letting go of so much, physical, metaphysical, psychological, tangible, intangible the future, the past, of beliefs and behaviours that no longer serve you in a new phase of life, how do we do that?
